Léa Fritsch
Léa began to study and practice yoga in 2003 to support her recovery from cancer. Léa found that the slow, inwardly focused, breath-aligned asana (as taught by Vanda Scaravelli and Gentle Somatic Yoga) to be most healing. Because she loves the practices so much, Léa became a teacher. She loves helping others along their journey to a whole body and mind experience. Léa prepares her students to build a body awareness that fosters self-inquiry and a deepening trust of one’s own perceptions. When the physical body can move freely with fewer restrictions, the mind’s capacity to explore an inner realm is enhanced. Léa practices daily to befriend her mind as well as create a positive body awareness to live more pain-free.
"I want to help people see and experience their own beauty. That's what teaching is for me. A mirror for them to see themselves. I have tried teaching meditation before but I found that I lacked the words and tools to teach it in a meaningful way. The Vishoka Meditation book, the step-by-step guidance and all of the support offered by the Himalayan Institute, facilitates teaching meditation. It's an amazing, well researched system steeped in ancient sciences that Pandit Rajmani Tigunait has made comprehensible for our modern minds."
